Today is day 3 on diflucan and prebiotics! hes doing ok on them so far not sick or anything. Also I have gone to the store and bought whole foods and will be pre making him some meals and storing them in fridge the night before i go to work. That way he can stay within his 30 carb range per meal. My son told me he had been OVER eatting on carbs and thats why hes been having high blood sugars.. (( i could have told anyone that LOL)) i think the gastroparesis or the thrush just made him feel blah and he just didnt care to be bothered. but we have to be, since you cant just quit watching your diet because you are sick. Im going to store tomorrow and buying some seeds and some potting soil and fertilizer for jerry to start gardening - maybe a hobby he will like? we shall see he grows great pineapples!

Nothing much has changed. Jerry has gotten lax in watching his carbo intake and is having high bloodsugars. We have gone to a diabetic nutritionist who asked him to write down all he ate and what his body did in reaction to his eating (shes trying to figure out his insulin sensitivity) well I wrote out his first day to show him what it would look like. He hasnt done it since. his appt with her is tomorrow morning. Im not going to say ANYTHING and see what she and he does. Jerry has had a gut ache for several weeks now. Like bad gas, but not. Richard on the TP board brought up the subject and possibility of Small bowel bacteria overgrowth, and then had me thinking, THRUSH, jerry has it bad in his mouth!!! and of course we know candida and the other bad flora can go from one end of the digestive system to the other, it can cause l eaky gut syndrome where it invades the blood system and goes all over the body making you feel ill. SO today ill call his doc and see if we can get in to see her and or get her to call in some nystatin or difluccan or flagyl something to battle this. Im hoping that SBBO or SIBO is the culprit to his ache. other than him feeling miserable and then not taking care at the moment all is the same and doing well. no pancreatic pain and IF he eats right he doesnt have to take insulin all day.
