quick post, jerry went to endocrinologist today, figured a change in insulin might help. so he will continue ONE shot of lantus in the AM and if needed a sliding of Humulog in place of humulin R .. turns out the humulinR for him is working like a long acting too, instead of quickly. We will watch and see if it makes a difference. Also found out jerrys feeling full and backed up to the chin might be from gas produced by the carbs sitting in his stomach. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
the swelling of his feet!!! its from NOT ENOUGH PROTEIN!!! so he did get after MR JERRY for loving those carbs (oatmeal and grits!!) lol. so we will see how jerry reacts and if his actions show improvement.

Today is 20th, Jerry is down to 25mg of Methadone (started at 100mg). He is doing really good. He is still having problems keeping bloodsugar in range. His gastroparesis flares up and he either cant eat when hes supposed to or eats when hes not because hes hungry. Kind of a toss up. i did get a note in mail about an insulin pump supposedly you can eat or not eat and still keep levels good?? we will have to discuss that one with doc! Just wanted to update the drop in meds! hes coming along well!

Update, Im so behind, but just to let all know, jerrys managing himself decently. He is having probs with watching his carbs adequately. His doctor did reduce his meds. so hes had a stomach ache for a few days now, withdrawls im sure. He says he will be so glad when this is over . HA! he and I both LOL one less med to buy! unfortunately its the cheapest one! We are preparing for our first trip NOT To a doctors LOL! no i take that back we went with my family to a family renunion one year! so second trip! a mountain cabin in Georgia! hopefully we will have him in better spirits! I think he will like it and can walk all he wants! We just got back from my gf moms funeral and hes been sleeping off the ride. Still no pain hallelujah! so that part was success!!!!!!!
